“When Nikki creates her work, she takes herself to a place that isn’t physical, even though she’s painting things that are directly from what’s in front of her. Her intention is for her work to feel nostalgic, familiar, dreamlike, or  likened to deva ju. While being in the flow of creation, she loses touch with her surroundings and goes to a clear and focused space, which is healing and calming. She encourages others through her work to feel the same. In achieving her masters degree in art therapy, she’ll actually be able to help others heal in the same way, and fulfill her purpose.”

“In her recent works, she uses chalk pastels, acrylic  paint, oil paint, fine tip varying pens, and cut paper to overlay and design. Her favorite medium is oil paints, and her favorite inspiration is her home, nature and her cats. “
